MOBILE RESCUE MISSION OPENS NEW DOORS AND OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE THE HOMELESS
February 12, 2014 – Mobile Rescue Mission, a ministry of Waterfront Rescue Mission, will be moving to its new location at 279 N Washington Avenue. The Mission is holding a special service to celebrate this historic move. The service will be held at its current downtown location, 206 State Street, on Sunday, February 16th at 3pm. This Sunday’s event will commemorate the closing of the State Street facility and the opening of its new homeless campus on N Washington Avenue.
The Mission has been at the current 206 State Street location for over 50 years. The Mission will continue offering hot meals and safe shelter to homeless men. It will also continue to house the Mission’s Veteran’s Program as well as its in-house 7 month recovery program. Mobile Rescue Mission will add its third program, Respite Care, at its new facility.
Mobile Rescue Mission is excited to offer new services and will double the capacity of individuals served in Mobile, AL. All are invited and encouraged to attend the service on Sunday.
